Methodology
Data sources
- Federal Register — rules, proposed rules and notices
- FDA press announcements
- FDA recalls, market withdrawals and safety alerts
- openFDA — approvals, device clearances and enforcement reports
- FDA warning letters database
- Regulations.gov — dockets and comment deadlines
What we include
- Federal actions that change what telehealth companies, prescribers, pharmacies or patients may do, or that concern GLP-1 drugs, peptides, compounding or health AI.
- Warning and untitled letters also appear in the FDA warning letters tracker, which owns their record pages.
- Actions are dated by the date on the agency document; effective dates and comment deadlines are recorded separately.
How we verify
- Each record links the agency’s own document, and identifiers are checked against the Federal Register, Regulations.gov or FDA databases.
- Status (proposed, final, in effect, delayed, vacated) is updated when the agency or a court acts.
Known gaps
- State actions are not systematically covered.
- The tracker is curated for our beats; it is not a complete list of every federal action.
Update frequency: Updated as agencies publish; Federal Register and FDA postings are checked each business day.
